Pitra paksh also known as shraddh paksh plays very vital role in Hindu religion. During these days people perform various holy activities (Sharadd and tarpan) for the peace of the soul of their deceased one.

 This year pitrapaksh will start from 10th,September 2022 to 25,September 2022 

A day a person dies,his sharaddh has to be done on that particular day only.

If the day of the death is not known,then the sharaadh has to done on amavasya.

 A well revered priest should be called for performing tarpan and all other activities.

Sharaddh done on the banks of holy river Ganga are more fruitful.

But if it is not possible then you can also perform at your home.

A needy and a poor person should be donated some fruits and other things of his daily need.

 You should also take out a part of a meal for a cow ,a dog and a crow .

Doing all these things not only bring good luck to you but also to your future generation.

Your ancestors will bless you with immense wealth , happiness and good health.
